FarmConnect announced on the 2nd that its smart farm innovation technology, bee activity analysis solution 'Connectbee', winner of the 'CES 2025' Innovation Award.

The CES Innovation Award is given by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) to products with excellent design, functionality, and innovation in each category before the CES held in Las Vegas, USA every January.

Recently, problems have been occurring in farms around the world due to bee activity decline and lack of smart farm management technology, where bees are not able to properly perform pollination. Connectbee technology was evaluated as a technology that will solve food security and abnormal climate in the 'Food&AgTech' category.

Connectbee utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) technology to analyze bee activity, distinguish between males and females, and track pollen. It has a function that immediately warns farmers when bee activity decreases. Farmers can analyze the effectiveness of bee work in real time and establish optimal harvest strategies. This contributes to increased crop yields, sustainable agriculture, and realizing ESG. Following the patent registration in Korea and Japan, we are currently applying for technology patents in 40 countries including the US and Europe.

Kim Mu-hyun, CEO of FarmConnect, said, “There are many farm management systems, but there is a severe lack of technology and solutions focused on bees.” He added, “We will improve bee activity and use it effectively in farms around the world. We will also expand the market in the bee farming and beekeeping sectors in the future and take the lead in digitalizing beehives.”

FarmConnect plans to participate in the CES 2025 exhibition ahead of its entry into the global market.
